Howard County Center for the Arts Celebration of the Arts Gala - Rising Star Competition
Emily performs as one of eight finalists in the Rising Star Competition. Each finalist will perform one piece at the annual benefit gala, the Celebration of the Arts in Howard County. Following the performances, the audience — including over 500 artists, arts patrons, community members, and business and political leaders — cast their votes for the winner of the $5,000 Rising Star Performing Artist Award.

Emily makes an exciting role debut as Nedda in Pagliacci with Greve Opera and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra.
Master Class at Centraal Biebliotheek Den Haag
Emily participates in a 2-Day Opera Workshop with Eva-Marie Westbroek and Frank van Aken, hosted by The Hague Central Library "Podium B" on January 25th and 26th, 2025. The masterclass includes intensive vocal training and repertoire coaching, concluding in a concert performance of “Donde lieta” from Puccini’s La bohème and “Io son l’umile ancella” from Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur.
Winter Course with Eva-Maria Westbroek and Frank van Aken
Emily spends a week in the French Pyrenees studying with world-renowned soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek and international opera star Frank van Aken. The course includes daily one-on-one voice lessons, private coaching, group lessons and performance coaching. The program culminates in a performance in Mosset, in which Emily will perform Eva in the quintet “Selig, wie die Sonne” from Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Adriana in the duet “E sia! Non risponde” from Puccini’s Adriana Lecouvreur.

Emily joins the Engaged Artist Program at OperaWorks.
OperaWorks, a program long synonymous with innovation, continues to be a beacon for courageous and forward-thinking artists and teachers. Singers and teaching artists perform in EVERY session EVERY day to explore new expressive options, eliminate negative self-talk, build inner empowerment, and achieve artistic freedom. In contrast to production-based programs, OperaWorks develops complete artists in a process-oriented atmosphere. Each program teaches essential stage and business skills for the modern singer. Classes focus on developing the ability to express freely - musically and dramatically - with the voice and the body, regulate anxiety in high-pressure situations, and showcase one’s strengths in the evolving performing arts industry.

Opera America: Career Blueprints for Singers
Career Blueprints for Singers engages singers in a multi-day intensive workshop on artist entrepreneurship and the practical elements of launching a career in opera.
Participants receive new headshots, video recordings, and feedback auditions, as well as guidance on financial management, artist representation, and website design.
Career Blueprints for Singers is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
